Live at the Art of Sound, 2008 10 10 by Erase

Today we have got an 30 minutes long act by Mr Erase. Experimental electronic music performed live at the Art of Sound the 10th of November in Mariehamn, Åland (Finland).

Erase will also perform as DJ on my wedding in Yokohama the 9th of November. Also our other members from our site will perform there: EnllaEnlla and Mini, who will be playing live with their shiny Macbooks.

Except that, Mr Erase will also perform at a club in Tokyo, Wednesday the 12th of November. More info about that in next post.

One could also mingle around with Erase and the other Electron members's at Electron's 10th birthday party the 21st of November, in Gothenburg (Sweden).

Shortfilm is the first in a serie of atmospheric ambient pieces written by Erase. The song has it's beats made by a pretty special machine. The Vermona DRM, is an East German drum machine From 1987.

Three~Day Interval by Mini

Mini is a master of spaced out dark ambient tunes. With this, his newest song, Mini changes the tempo on Uchunokoe.

His music reminds me of something I read in the paper couple of years ago. The SETI program had found an unusual signal from space, and where investigating it's pattern.
No, I haven't heard anything more regarding that since, and it is around 5 years ago now. Probably it was nothing more than noise from a for us unknown astra phenomena.
It still makes you wonder when, or if, we will discover a real signal from an intelligent civilisation out there..

Yurei by Erase

More harder, and more crazier than usual productions from Erase. This time he used his new Acxel Re-Synthesizer.

Denki Groove by Erase

Denki Groove is the title of DJ Erase's latest production. The title have nothing to do with the Japanese pop group with the same name, but rather refers to his new best friend - the Tenori On from Yamaha. For those who didn't know, Denki means Electric in Japanese.

Using only that machine, Erase is here performing a 6:38 minutes long minimal techno act.

Erase is also performing wicked live sets from time to time, and he will surely be seen on stage with his Tenori On more then just once.

Sango no mori by EnllaEnlla

Sango no mori is the latest production from EnllaEnlla. A translation of the title to English, would be Coral forests.

I haven't asked him yet, but I wonder if EnllaEnlla possesses a scuba divers licence? I got my PADI last year in India, and that was among the best things I have ever done.

The song brings us under the ocean, among colourful fishes, animals and reefs in 15:24 minutes. Sango no mori is very suiting title, if you ask me.

Summer Mixset by DJ Erase

Mr Erase, or rather Mr DJ Erase, have made summer techno mix for us to enjoy. This is the first DJ set to be posted on UCHU no KOE, but more will come.

Lost by Mini

Futuristic beats by Mini from Yokohama. Mini recently bought his own Monomachine, shining bright in his studio. I am pretty sure it also did a part in this music.

The song Lost reminds me of William Gibsons Neuromancer, one of my favourites Sci-Fi books, and also a book I know Mini fancies highly.

Watching cars driving by on the Kannana-dori, just outside my window. I have been sitting here for hours now, giving imagined life stories and personalities for those who passes my view.

Simply Tec is the last of many names for the same production. This song is made liberated from softwares and computers, only using two drum machines and two FM beauties.

Electric Ball by EnllaEnlla

Why did EnllaEnlla choose that name? The name Enlla Enlla is inspired by old Japanese mythology, and the yōkai named Enenra, or 煙々羅 in Japanese. Enenra is a spirit born in fire, and made out of smoke, with the ability to change shape to anything she likes. Enenra is said only to be seen by the ones whos hearth are pure.

Amber by Mini

Eating Soba outside the train station in Yokohama City, with the rain pouring down outside. Amber is an audio postcard composed by Mr Mini, exposing images from a future Yokohama using dark electronic waves. 

Mr Mini is prosperous at present, since he finally received his long desired Mono Machine.

Kuragemuri by EnllaEnlla

EnllaEnlla, whom is not yet heard on our site, is another Japanese producer based in the Tokyo yard. His minimal waves are beautifully synchronised with noise from the Kannana-dori, an avenue in Tokyo, around where his studio is located. EnllaEnnla typically produces warm atmospheric soundscapes companied with sponged techno or electronica beats. He is a perfectionist, and perfection is a word not strong enough describing his music.

This first production is a 17 minutes long ambient track named Kuragemuri. I wonder why he choosed that name..

Addiction by Erase

I first heard this track around a month ago at Mr Erases studio during visiting Gothenburg. Since then I have been pestering him to post it, though he wasn't satisfied. He wanted to make his 8 minutes Addiction shorter. Now, finally he is ready to post his music and the result is, instead of shorter, more then twice as long!

Addiction is a suitable name for this music, since I have been listening to it over and over again.

Little 84 by Erase

This little cute song is written by Erase, probably using his Machinedrum and Monomachine. 

Mr Erase also contributed with music to a compilation that was released last week. The compilations name is 45 Tribute, and is made to honor Daniel Hansson, co-founder and CEO of Elektron. Daniel tragically passed away in an accident last summer.

45 Tribute is a 30 track high quality compilation including unreleased music from Autechre, Tiga, Deadelus, dDamage among many others. The price for this compilation is 5 USD, and all profit will be donated to WWF - the World Wildlife Fond.

Brockmann by Mini

One more 6.15 minutes long track by Yokohama's finest, only this time more speeded than usual. The track reminds me of a film one friend showed me some weekends ago called Powers of 10. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Mini also found inspiration from astronomy and galactic philosophy.

Mini is an interesting name. Mini as in Minimal, that good describe his music. 

If you want to see him spinning I strongly recommend going to the Cafe Ex.Bodega in Yokohama Friday the 23/3. Except Mr Mini I will also be playing live. 

I also want to recommend another event in Tokyo this month, the 22/2, when Tim Sweeney from Beats in Space will play at Colors Studio.

Current by Erase

Mr Erase just finished his electrical Current, the first of songs from his newly pitched studio. Demur vintage synthesizers and modular systems, one of his favorite machines is the Machinedrum from Elektron. I believe it also did a part in this track. 

Except writing songs Mr Erase also possesses divine skills behind turntable's. It's absolutely worth the trouble seeing him in action, even if it involves traveling.

Mini is another producer who will be posting audio at UCHUnoKOE. He sometimes figures with the name Root Undertone, and can be seen in diverse events around Tokyo and Yokohama. With his harmonic soundscapes, Mr Goto is one of the finest electronic producers I know.

Miss707 by Uchujin

It isn't the newest song I've made, in fact its pretty old. But, I still like to post this in honor for my old beauty. My Korg 707 got wounded  in battle last year and are now retired to simpler tasks. Now she can be found in Mr Erase's studio. 

Though, I hope we'll see some of her strength in future posts from Mr Erase?
