The well known phrase "..the DJ saved my life!" is highly applicable today, here on UCHUnoKOE.
Peter Mellander, a.k.a. Pete M.lander - a man with silver-box-hearth, beating in a steady 130 BPM - is contributing with a 1h18m long DJ-set off the finest in Techno.
Mr M.Lander is among the proud first generation Techno DJs in Sweden. He managed the club Strobe Hours and the record label BlackStrobe in the mid 1990th.
But more, Peter Mellander was also one of the pair that triggered the legendary radio-show "HQ" between 1991 and 1998, together with Henrik Strömberg.
This radio show was for many the only possibility finding Techno, in a climate where this new culture was seen as a threat by older generations.
HQ also figured as an inspiration source and influenced several young creators, including myself, to be choosing the electric path in life. Therefore, HQ surely assisted Swedish Techno-music reaching the international scene.
